The results are in, NLCS has a Maap STARS State Officer, Addison Marrier stands with the other 2022-2023 State Officers chosen by their peers. The conference was a blast and Conri, Ashley and Addison represented NLCS very well! This leadership conference brought out the best in all of the participants. Congratulations Addison!
Students took a trip to Dead-End Hayride. Traditionally this was done prior to running our Haunted House fundraiser. Since we couldn't do our Haunted House anymore we had to keep up this tradition at least!
A few students are at a Fall Leadership Conference at Lake Beauty in Long Prairie where they are interacting with students from 18 different programs from
around the state, while engaging in leadership skills. Best of luck to Addison Marrier as she is a candidate for Maap Stars State Officer! Stay tuned to the results tomorrow.
A schoolyard archaeology site was excavated this week to demonstrate how important observation and documentation is to gather information about the past. Students learned that excavating a site is destructive and tedious work that requires careful documentation.
Our parent survey is out again. We would like to hear from the parents perspectives! Thanks! Worn out and tired puppy for attention.

Giving back to the community, students in Donna’s Advisory moved dirt for the Warba Mayor, Ellen Coffel.
Teaka (our school therapy dog) and Lori (staff) just finished a 3 day AKC agility trial in Proctor. It was well attended by a bunch of great competitors. Teaka, our 8.9 year old golden, had a stellar weekend. She had a perfect 3 days with 11/11 Qs (qualifying runs) while finishing her Time to Beat title and acquiring 3 double Qs. She had several first and second placements as well. It's not always being the fastest team out there isn't but sometimes steady with accuracy wins the race.
