In an effort to improve academic success and reduce discipline issues, the NLCS school board has adopted of a new cell phone policy to begin January 22nd.

After input from the staff, students and parents/guardians, it has been decided that phones will not be allowed in the classrooms during the academic day. Students may possess and use their phones before school, during the lunch period, and after school.

We are encouraging parents to talk to their children about their phone use and determine whether or not it is even necessary to bring a phone to school. If it is, please provide a lock to use to lock it away in a school locker or make plans to leave it with an advisor (or the office) once they get to school.
